Griffin Animation Academy has used the principles of and process of Observational learning and combined these with our own learning system, which is referred to as our Mirror Based Online Learning or M-BOL.students perform the observed behaviours (literal animations) combined with detailed explanations, references, quizzes and lessons. This style of learning is preferred for several reasons, one of which allows students to see and understand mistakes and correct them or avoid them before beginning.

2. ATTENTION
Observe & pay attention to what stands out to you. Watch the final version of the student's animation.

3. MIRRORING
The student must acquire the skills needed to reproduce this behavior. Setup your own layout & blocking in Maya to follow along.

4. LEARNED SKILLS & REPETITION
The student must observe and acquire the skills needed to reproduce the same knowledge. Any skill can be learned through repetition, so writing down every note will help you remember quickly.

5. PREDICTION
When a student watches another student, they (often subconsciously) try to predict what outcome their actions will produce.

6. REINFORCEMENT LEARNING
The student observes what happens with the animation submitted and the feedback given by the teacher. The student can try to predict the feedback by applying it to their own animation.

7. MATCH
Based on how well that matches the students predictions, they learn!

8. RETENTION
The student will observe the feedback provided and store the behavior in their memory.
